Rick Scheel

VP of National Sales

Rick Scheel leads National Sales effort at APH calling on Health Plans, TPA’s, Consultants, Plan Sponsors and trading partners working to help them solve today’s real issues in healthcare. Rick has an extensive technology background going back 37 years, and healthcare experience going back 25 years. He has a degree in computer programming from San Antonio College.
Rick has led sales efforts for various healthcare companies since 2001. His background includes the following positions:
◊ Chief Technology Officer for Benefit Planners, a large TPA in San Antonio Texas.
◊ VP of Sales for Fiserv Health, a large national TPA operation
◊ Regional VP of Sales for UMR, a division of UnitedHealthcare, Responsible for ASO sales in the Southwest
◊ Senior VP of Sales for Carenet Healthcare Services

Rick also led Carenet Healthcare Services to be recognized on the Inc 500/5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America for 8 years in a row. Rick has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences including SPBA – Society of Professional Benefit Administrators, SIIA – Self Insured Institute of American and RISE – Resource Initiative and Society for Education.
